National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Exam City Details for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) June 2026 on 10 June 2026. The exam is scheduled from 22 to 30 June 2026 for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship)and Assistant Professor eligibility across 85+ subjects. Candidates who applied between 29 April 2026 to 24 May 2026can now check their Exam City and download the subject-wise Exam Schedule from the official portal ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Passed or Appearing in Master’s Degree in the concerned / relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates) from any recognized university
- 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Research) with minimum 75% marks is also eligible for UGC NET from June 2026 cycle
- Candidates who have appeared in the final year of their Master’s Degree can also apply provisionally
Age Limit:
- JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): Maximum Age 31 Years as on the last date of application (Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates)
- Assistant Professor: No Upper Age Limit

Follow these simple steps to check your Exam City:
- Visit the official portal examinationservices.nic.in (link available at ugcnet.nta.nic.in)
- Click on “Check Exam City Details” link for UGC NET June 2026
- Login using your Application Number and Date of Birth / Password
- Your allocated Exam City will appear on the screen
- Note down your exam city carefully
- Download the Exam City slip and save it for future reference
- The Admit Card with exact exam centre address will be released a few days before the exam
