UP Uttar Pradesh Anganwadi Worker Bharti Recruitment 2026 – Complete DetailsUttar Pradesh District Program Officer under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme, Government of Uttar Pradesh has released the official notification for UP Anganwadi Worker (Anganwadi Karyakatri) Bharti Recruitment 2026 on a District-Wise basis. This recruitment is a great opportunity for female candidates residing in UP villages, wards, and Nyaya Panchayat areas to secure a government employment as an Anganwadi Worker under the ICDS scheme.

The recruitment is conducted district-wise with different application dates for each district. Currently, more than 22 districts across Uttar Pradesh have released their vacancy notifications including Hathras (229), Lucknow (198), Mau (203), Sambhal (203), Bahraich (214), Rampur (227), Prayagraj (137), Mirzapur (159), Azamgarh (159), Muzaffarnagar (74) and many more. 📝 Role & Responsibilities of UP Anganwadi Worker

The Anganwadi Worker (Karyakatri) is a grassroots-level government worker under the ICDS scheme responsible for:

  • Nutrition Services: Providing supplementary nutrition to children (0-6 years), pregnant women, and lactating mothers in the village/ward area
  • Health Services: Monitoring health and growth of children, immunization support, and health education
  • Pre-School Education: Running non-formal pre-school activities for children aged 3-6 years at the Anganwadi Center
  • Health & Nutrition Education: Educating families about health, nutrition, and hygiene practices
  • Referral Services: Referring severe malnutrition cases and sick children to appropriate health facilities
  • Survey & Registration: Conducting surveys of beneficiaries in the assigned village/ward area
