NTA CSIR UGC NET June 2026 – Complete Details
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) twice a year for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship / Assistant Professor positions in Science disciplines at Indian universities, colleges, and research institutes.
For the June 2026 session, the online application process was open from 27 May 2026 to 19 June 2026 (fee payment last date: 20 June 2026). The Correction / Edit Form Window is now open from 22 to 23 June 2026 — this is the last and only opportunity for candidates to fix any mistakes in their submitted application. The CSIR UGC NET June 2026 examination is scheduled on 17-18 July 2026. The exam covers 5 scientific subjects: Chemical Science, Earth Science (Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary), Life Science, Mathematical Science, and Physical Science.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc or Equivalent Degree in the relevant subject with minimum:
- 55% marks for General / OBC / EWS candidates
- 50% marks for SC / ST / PH candidates
- The following candidates are also eligible:
- Integrated M.Sc or B.E. / B.Tech candidates who have passed or are in the final year
- B.Pharma and MBBS candidates are also eligible for CSIR NET June 2026
Age Limit:
- For JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): Maximum Age 30 Years (as on 01 July 2026)
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PH, 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for female candidates
- For Lectureship / Assistant Professor: No Upper Age Limit

The CSIR UGC NET June 2026 exam consists of a Single Paper with 3 parts:
